How to Install and Launch FaceTime on Mac
The application Apple FaceTime for Mac is pre-installed on most Mac devices. If you can't find it on your device, follow these simple steps to install and launch the app:
- Check Your macOS Version
FaceTime requires macOS 10.6.6 or later. To check your macOS version, click on the Apple menu and select "About This Mac." - Install FaceTime from the App Store
If your device meets the system requirements, open our website and search for "Download Now" button. Download and install the FaceTime app for Mac app. - Sign in With Your Apple ID
Launch FaceTime and sign in with your Apple ID. If you don't have one, you can create one by clicking on "Create new Apple ID." - Add Contacts and Make Calls
Click on the "+" button in the top left corner of the FaceTime window to add contacts. Once you've added contacts, you can start making video or audio calls.

Using FaceTime on Other Apple Devices
FaceTime is not limited to Mac devices. You can also use it on your FaceTime for Apple Watch and iPhone. To use FaceTime on these devices, make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID as your Mac, and follow the steps below:
Apple Watch
- Open the Phone app on your Apple Watch
- Select a contact and tap on the FaceTime Audio button to make a call
Note that FaceTime video calls are not available on Apple Watch.
iPhone
On your iPhone, the FaceTime iPhone app is pre-installed and ready to use. Simply open the app, sign in with your Apple ID, and start making calls.
